- I have just developed two very odd problems with my A1200. Both developed when
- I switched monitors (from a Commodore 1702 to a US Login 14" multisync).
-
- First, Terminus no longer saves certain console prefs settings. For example, I
- use default.con for the local BBSs I call, but when I use the university dialup
- to do Internet stuff, I use a different console prefs, vax.con. Before I
- hooked up this monitor, everything worked fine. Now, every time I load the
- vax.con settings, I have to manually set EOL Out from CRLF to just CR. The
- pref setting WILL NOT save. Even if I manually edit vax.con to insert the line
- "EOLOUT=CR", the line disappears when I reload the prefs settings.
-
- UPDATE: It isn't that the setting doesn't save, it's that the setting switches
- from "CR" or "LF" to "CRLF" whenever the screen updates. What gives?
-
- The pico full-screen editor no longer works. As soon as I hit return,
- it seems to manually reshuffle characters, totally screwing up the message.
-
- Before you think I'm crazy, I assure you, I don't have either one of these
- problems when I hook up the 1702 monitor.
-
- One more question, totally unrelated. Has anyone had a problem with the Supra
- flashers working? I cannot get the 1.300-07 flasher to work, I always get an
- out-of-memory error.
-
- My setup is as follows...
-
- A1200 (stock)
- US Logic 14" multisync and Commodore 1702 monitors
- Supra FAXmodem 28.8
- Running Terminus and Workbench on MULTISCAN:Productivity
- Using NewMode for mode promotion
- Running fbl_68020 in SLOW mode
